A small township at the head of Lake Wakatipu, 45 minutes drive from Queenstown, is the transit point for trampers entering the Mount Aspiring National Park as part of New Zealand’s Great Walks. This town is famous for its very small buildings (the smallest Post Office, the smallest Church, the smallest Rain Station, the smallest Library). Around 30 minutes drive from Glenorchy, a small village named Paradise (probably the name was come from Paradise duck) is located. Glenorchy and Paradise are very famous as The Lord of The Rings and Hobbits trilogy as well as Wolverine movie set locations (credit to Pure Glenorchy and DK Eyewitness Travel New Zealand). I visited these two amazing “Paradises” during my spring holiday.
